After March 2015, Bangladesh nationals holding handwritten passports will be in difficulty while traveling abroad. So, it is better to approach the Embassy for Machine Readable passport within December 2014

Requirements for the new handwritten passport:

i.    If the old passport is damaged or its pages are exhausted or the passport is expired after 10-year validity period

• Filled-in application form
• Photographs (passport size) – 04 copies
• Old passport
• Photocopy of the old passport

ii.    If the old passport is lost:

• Filled-in application form
• Photocopy of lost passport
• Photographs (Passport size) – 06 copies
• Police Report
