BIRTH REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE (BRC)

Online Birth and Death Registration Information System (BDRIS) allows Bangladesh citizens to apply for Online Birth Registration Certificate (BRC) through the Embassy of Bangladesh in Stockholm. Bangladesh citizens not having online Birth Registration Certificate can apply for online Birth Registration.

Requirements:

 i. Bangladesh nationals holding a Bangladesh passport

• Printed copy of dully filled-in Birth Registration Certificate (BRC) online application form (Please click on http://bdris.gov.bd/br/application)
• Copies of applicant’s parents’ online BRC/NID/Passport
• A recent passport size photograph
• Copy of payment receipt

ii.Children of Bangladesh nationals/ Bangladesh nationals born in Sweden/Norway/Finland

• Printed copy of dully filled-in Birth Registration Certificate (BRC) online application form (Please click on http://bdris.gov.bd/br/application)
• Copies of applicant’s parents’ online BRC/NID/Passport
• Birth Certificate issued by local authorities
• A recent passport size photograph
• Copy of payment receipt

Payment:

Application Fee: SEK 10.00 (non-refundable)
Correction Fee: SEK 20.00 (non-refundable)

Postage fee (if the applicant would like to collect the birth certificate by post)

Within Sweden:

• SEK 120 for birth certificate
• Additional SEK 20 per each additional passport in the same postal/courier service

From Norway and Finland:

• SEK 140 for birth certificate
• Additional SEK 20 per each additional passport in the same postal/courier service
